WHO ARE WE?
County Car Rentals is Ireland’s largest Independent Car Rental Company.   County Car Rentals is Family owned and managed and has been in operation for a long time.  The business was set up in1952 by Bernard Loughran, and is now managed by his son Bernard and with assistance from his grandchildren Bernard and Gillian.    County Car Rentals keeps its rates low by running an efficient operation and not having an Expensive Franchise Name or Major Advertising. County Car Rentals has built its business over the years simply by giving Good Value and Good Service.   

A LITTLE HISTORY
When the business was set up in 1952, one of the first renter was a Mr David Hewitt from Birmingham, England, who arrived in Dun Laoghaire off the Mail Boat with his new bride Kathleen to spend a week honeymooning in Ireland.  The Mail Boat has now been replaced with the World’s Largest and most luxurious High Speed Ferry the HSS, operated by Stena.  County Car Rentals has continued its tradition of offering lowest prices for car rental in Ireland also greatly improved its facilities and service.   In recent years David and Kathleen Hewitt’s grandchildren Maureen and John have been frequent renters form County Car Rentals arriving with their own families for Self Drive Holidays in Ireland!
