The van may only be driven in the republic of Ireland and is subject to a maximum of 150 Kilometers per day.   No Insurance will apply outside these conditions.   The insurance is subject to an excess of €2,000.00 irrespective of how the damage is caused.   This excess must be prepaid at commencement of rental and will be refunded if no damage at termination.   Refunds will only be processed 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday excluding Irish Public Holidays.TOP         FUEL POLICY.   Vehicles rented on prepaid vouchers or web bookings are supplied full of fuel and this is to be pre-paid.   Vehicle must not be refilled prior to return as there is no refund.  The combination of prepaid fuel and low daily rental rates with unlimited mileage (kilometers) ensures best value for money.   For rentals of 1 - 3 days, driving less than a total of 150 kilometers, a return full option applies and refund will be given.TOP     SAFE USEAGE POLICY.    In the interest of Safety on Irish Roads, and to prevent vehicle abuse, vehicles rented on an unlimited kilometers basis will be subject to a kilometers ceiling as follows:   Rentals driven in excess of Ceiling Average will be charged at 30 cents per kilometer.     Rent Days          Ceiling Average Kilometers (per Day) 1 to 4                  240 5 to 7                  190 8 plus                160     Overall Kilometer Ceiling 2900 per RentalTOP     INSURANCE.         Web Rates include Liability Insurance. Optional extra protection and waivers are available.TOP INSURANCES, WAIVERS, PROTECTIONS ISSUED BY OTHERS         COUNTY CAR RENTALS ONLY RECOGNISE INSURANCES, WAIVERS, PROTECTIONS SUPPLIED BY COUNTY CAR RENTALS OR BY AN IRISH BASED INSURANCE COMPANY. Without Insurances, Waivers, Protections supplied by County Car Rentals or supplied by Irish based Insurance Companies, the renter is Totally Responsible for, and must pay County Car Rentals directly for, all damage to the rental car irrespective of how it is caused and irrespective of who is at fault. Insurances, Waivers, Protections issued by Companies outside of Ireland do not apply to the rental vehicle, there is no direct cover arranged with County Car Rentals. Whatever arrangement exists is between the renter and the issuing Company. TOP RENTER’S RIGHT TO DECLINE INSURANCES, WAIVERS, PROTECTIONS         County Car Rentals permits renter to decline Insurances, Waivers, Protections offered by County Car Rentals. TOP RENTER’S RESPONSIBILITIES IF DECLINING INSURANCES, WAIVERS, PROTECTIONS         If renter declines Insurance, Waivers, Protections offered by County Car Rentals and renter does not transfer cover by an Irish based Insurance Company, then renter personally assumes total financial responsibility for damage to or loss of the rental vehicle and will be charged by County Car Rentals for all damage to or loss of the rental vehicle. TOP RENTER’S BOND REQUIREMENTS         If renter declines Insurances, Waivers, Protections offered by County Car Rentals, then, at commencement of rental, renter will be required to leave a bond of €15,000 or the value of the vehicle whichever is greater, and this must be deposited with County Car Rentals. This will be held as guarantee for renter’s commitment to pay for damage to or loss of the rental vehicle. This bond must be in the form of Euro Cash or Bank Guarantee. Credit Cards, Personal Cheques or other forms of payment for bond are not acceptable. Refunds of bond will only be made if vehicle is returned undamaged. Refund will be made only at County Car Rentals Head Office Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. TOP USE OF VEHICLE FOR HIRE OR REWARD         Rental Vehicle may not be used for hire or reward for carriage of Passengers and goods. No Insurance applies in this case. TOP COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER (CDW)covers the vehicle for accidental damage. The renter is responsible for a Damage Deductible normally between € 900 and € 3500 depending on the vehicle. We recommend that this insurance is taken out at an additional charge.TOP THEFT PROTECTION (T.P.)  covers the vehicle for theft provided the vehicle is left in a secure place and locked. We recommend that this insurance be taken at an additional charge.TOP MASTER COVER (M.C.).  Master Cover reduces the CDW and TP excess to a nominal amount. We recommend that this cover be taken.TOP CDW,  M.C. RESTRICTION. Collision Damage Waiver and Master Cover Do Not Apply if the Renter permits the vehicle to be used by another, or uses or permits the vehicle to be used in a reckless, careless or wanton manner, or is in violation of Irish Road Law or has consumption of Alcohol or prescribed substances. In this case renter will be responsible for all damage to the vehicle. TOP     TYRE AND WINDSCREEN PROTECTION (TWP) covers tyres, punctures, and windscreen cracks and replacement provided Vehicle is used within the terms of the contract. (Wheel Rims and Trims are covered under CDW). Repairs may only be carried out with the authorization of County Car Rentals. No reimbursement will be made if tyres or windscreen are repaired without written authorization from County Car Rentals. Payable locally at €6.00 per day for 1 to 3 day rentals and €4.00 for 4 day plus rentals. We recommend that this be taken at an additional chargeTOP     PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE covers injuries as a result of accident in the vehicle. All persons traveling in the vehicle are covered. Payable locally at €6.00 per day. We recommend that this cover be taken.TOP         SECURITY COMMITMENT - CREDIT CARD.    Renter is required to leave a security commitment at commencement of rental.   A CREDIT CARD BELONGING TO THE RENTER IS MANDATORY TO PROCESS A SECURITY COMMITMENT.   Debit cards, personal cheques, or payment methods other than credit cards are NOT acceptable as a security commitment.TOP    CREDIT CARD PRE AUTHORIZATION. A Pre Authorization of a minimum of €350.00 and up to Insurance/Waiver Excess will be processed at commencement of rental.   Card holder must agree to the terms and conditions and sign THE RENTAL CONTRACT.  A pre-authorization will be held on the credit card and this pre-authorization will not be processed if there are no additional charges or driving violations (rental extensions, damage, parking, speeding tickets, tolls or any other charges due under the terms of the rental contract)..TOP ANOTHER PERSON’S CREDIT CARD.  With prior approval, a credit card, belonging to ANOTHER PERSON, WHO MUST BE PRESENT AT TIME OF RENTAL WITH PHOTO ID (PASSPORT) AND ADDRESS VERIFICATION (RECENT UTILITY BILL).  CREDIT CARD WILL be imprinted on the rental contract and ENTERED IN DATA RECORDS.   The Credit Card Holder must sign the rental contract and agree to all termsTOP. RELEASE OF CREDIT CARD PREAUTHORIZATION.   Pre authorization will be released by the Credit Card holder’s own bank.   County Car Rentals will not be responsible for expediting the release of any un processed pre-authorization.TOP     LOCATION FEE. A Location fee of €25.00 is payable for all Collections.TOP     CHILD SEATS: County Car Rentals provide Child Seats in three different categories 1 Infant Seats (6 to 8 Months) 2 Child Seats (8 Months to Approx 4 Years) 3 Booster Seats (4 years and Up) All Child Seats must be pre-booked and a rental charge of                               €10.00 Per Day (1-3 Days)                                €5.00 Per Day  (4 + Days)     A deposit of €100.00 is required to be paid at the commencement of rental and will be refunded upon return of the child seat in a clean and undamaged condition.     For Legal Reasons, County Car Rental Staff will not install the seat in the vehicle. This must be done by the renter. TOP     ONE WAY RENTAL CHARGES: Dublin Airport/ Dublin North to Dun Laoghaire Ferry port :        €35.00 Dublin Airport/Dublin North to Dublin South/Dun Laoghaire:    €25.00 Dublin South / Dun Laoghaire to Dublin Airport/Dublin North       €50.00 1 – 6 days rentals,        €30.00 7+ days rentals. Dublin South/Dun Laoghaire to Dun Laoghaire Ferry port :       €35.00 Dun Laoghaire Ferry port to Dublin South/Dun Laoghaire :       €5.00 Dun Laoghaire Ferry port to Dun Laoghaire Ferry port:             €10.00 Dun Laoghaire Ferry port to Dublin Airport/Dublin North:          €25.00 No other Return Locations are permitted.  Vehicles returned elsewhere In Ireland  will incur a large location recovery fee, (minimum €500.00)TOP          RENTAL COLLECTION WAIT TIME         County will hold vehicle for one hour from the time supplied at booking. If there is any delay, renter should contact County with a minimum of four hours notice. County will hold vehicle, subject to availability, provided the rental start time is within depot opening hours. Renter will be responsible for rental payment from the time of the original booking. For renters arriving off flights or ferries, County will hold vehicle for one hour from actual arrival time provided that Arrival Flight Number or Arrival Ferry Number has been advised at time of booking. If flight or ferry is delayed, County will hold vehicle, subject to availability, for one hour after actual arrival time provided this is within Depot Opening Hours and that Arrival Flight Number or Arrival Ferry Number has been advised at time of booking. For delayed renters arriving outside Depot Opening hours, County will hold vehicle, subject to availability, for next Depot Opening time TOP NO-SHOW:         If renter is delayed in collecting their car, they should contact the County depot where they are collecting the car. If the reserved vehicle has not been collected after 1 hour of the reserved collection time, the reservations will automatically be cancelled. Please note that no refund is made on no-shows. TOP PRE RENTAL VEHICLE CONDITION         At vehicle collection, renter will be supplied with a Pre Rental Vehicle Condition Report listing any pre existing damage to the vehicle. Renter will be asked to inspect the vehicle condition and sign off the report. This report will be used when checking in the vehicle after rental return. TOP GEOGRAPHICAL DRIVING LIMITS.  County Car Rentals vehicles may not be taken outside the republic of Ireland into Northern Ireland without our prior written approval and payment of fee. TOP         CROSS BORDER SUPPLIMENT. A Cross Border Supplement of €25.00 is applicable to all rentals wishing to travel to Northern IrelandTOP .     UNAUTHORIZED TAKING.    VEHICLES MAY NOT BE TAKEN OUTSIDE THE ISLAND OF IRELAND .   NO INSURANCE APPLIES OUTSIDE THE ISLAND OF IRELAND .     Unauthorized taking charge will be made as follows:         Fee Unauthorized Taking Charge Northern Ireland 25.00         €250.00 Wales , England , Scotland N/A         €750.00 Elsewhere N/A      €2,250.00 TOP     RENTAL RETURN GRACE PERIOD.  A Grace Period of 59 minutes beyond the rental return time on the date of return will be allowed free of charge, provided County is advised in advance, and that this is within Depot Opening Hours. Rentals returning beyond this period will be charged for an extra day at Local Rates.    TOP AMENDING OR EXTENDING A RENTAL:.  Amendment or Extension of rental must be arranged and agreed directly with County Car Rentals. This is subject to vehicle availability. Charges for additional days will be calculated at the local daily rate, payable direct to County. TOP EARLY RETURN OF RENTAL VEHICLE.  Should renter wish to return the rental vehicle earlier than booked, County Car Rentals should be contacted in advance. Please note that once a rental has commenced, no refund is made on any unused rental days. TOP RETURNING TO DESIGNATED LOCATION.  Vehicles may only be returned to the Designated Location listed On the Rental Contract. Returning to any other locations without agreement will incur substantial charges. If returning outside Office Hours Vehicle will be checked in at next opening time. County Return Locations are under Close Circuit TV Security. TOP CHECKING RETURNED VEHICLES .  Returned vehicles will not be finally checked , until the bodywork and interior are clean. It is recommended that prior to return, vehicles are cleaned free of road film, and the interior cleaned. Otherwise it is County’s policy to wash and clean the returned vehicle at a later time, before finally checking the vehicle. If vehicle is returned outside Depot Opening Hours then the customer agrees to accept vehicle return condition check on next Depot Opening Hours as follows: Return Depot Opening Hours. Dublin Airport / Dublin City North. Mon to Fri - 09:00 to 17:00; Sat - 09:00 to 16:00; Sundays and Public Holidays- Closed Dun Laoghaire / Dublin City South Mon to Fri - 09:00 to 18:00; Sat - 09:00 to 16:00; Sundays and Public Holidays- 10:00 to 12:00 Dun Laoghaire Ferry Port No County Staff for return – Vehicle checked on return to County Depot in next Opening Hours.    TOP INCORRECT FUEL .    Should renter or another put wrong fuel in the vehicle, all fees relating to this will be charged for. TOP LOST KEYS .    Late model vehicles as supplied by County cannot be stolen without keys. It is important that keys are kept in a safe place. Vehicle keys are chip-coded and are costly and timely items to replace. If renter looses the rented vehicle's key, renter will be obliged to pay for its replacement (approximately €300.00) plus any associated transport costs in connecting renter with a new key or car. Because of security implications, spare keys can not be obtained from vehicle dealers, outside opening times. Loss of spare keys will incur a cost of up to €2,500.00 as it is also necessary to replace and reprogram the Electronic Control Unit and other Vehicle hardware and software. At time of supply of spare key, a deposit will of up to €2,500.00 will required and will be refunded after the spare key is returned to a County Depot. Renter will be responsible for safe storage or rental vehicle and for rental charges when waiting for spare key. TOP FINES, TOLLS, SPEEDING, PARKING .    Speeding, Parking, Fines, Tolls, are the responsibility of the renter. County accepts no responsibility for any fine or payment. The renter is obliged to inform County of any fines, parking tickets or tolls incurred, issued whilst the renter is using the vehicle TOP EXTENSIONS.  Extensions of rental will be charged at the local rental rate applying at the time of extension.TOP CANCELATIONS.  County Car Rentals reserves the right to cancel a reservation at short notice due to non-availability of a particular group of car, in the event of a cancellation the deposit will be refunded in total and client notified by email of cancellation and refund.TOP IRISH DATA PROTECTION LAWSCounty Car Rentals fully respects an individual’s right to privacy, and any personal information provided will be treated with the highest standards of security and confidentiality, strictly in accordance with the Irish Data Protection Acts, 1988 & 2003TOP     Address: County Car Rentals, Rochestown Avenue, Co.
