CHILD SEATS: County Car Rentals provide Child Seats in three different categories

1.         Infant Seats (6 to 8 Months)
2.         Child Seats (8 Months to Approx 4 Years)
3.         Booster Seats (4 years and Up)
            All Child Seats must be pre-booked at a rental charge of;
 €10.00 Per Day (1-3 Days)  or  €5.00 Per Day  (4 + Days)
   
A deposit of €100.00 is required to be paid at the commencement of rental and will be refunded upon return of the child seat in a clean and undamaged condition.

Infant Seats/Child Seats & Booster Seats are Mandatory in Ireland. Under E.U. child safety protection laws it is compulsory for all children to travel in the correct baby seat/booster seat. Where safety belts have been fitted they must be worn. Rearward-facing child car seats must never be used in the front passenger seat of cars with an active airbag. Where airbags are fitted the renter should check the enclosed handbook about special precautions to be taken when using a child restraint in the front seat.  

Seat Belts
All occupants must wear seat belts or restraints (for children). Children under 12 years are not permitted in front seats. It is the responsibility of the Driver to ensure that these safety rules are enforced.  

Drink Driving
Drink driving is not tolerated and severe penalties are imposed on people who have a legal reading of over 80mg per 100ml of blood. This equates to approximately one Pint of Beer or one small glass of wine. Do not attempt to drive whilst under the influence of alcohol.

Luggage and Parking:
Do not leave luggage visable as it will be stolen and the customer will be responsible for glass breakage and lock damage. Place luggage in the boot (trunk) before parking. Do not leave car overnight on the side of the road, always park the car in a secure car park.
